This project is located near the highway and is a steel structure workshop for processing prefabricated H steel beam.

In order to maximize the use of every space, our design includes only one row of steel columns in the middle, with a span of 35.5m. Column distance usually will be 6~8m, this is a common practice in the steel structure industry. Because we all consider the overall design rationality, if the column spacing is too large or too small, it will affect the amount of steel used, resulting in increased costs. This workshop column distance is also 6m. And it is 2-bay a steel workshop.

Most steel structure workshops are not like steel structure warehouses. They are not only used for storing goods, but also have workers operating inside. Therefore, in addition to large-sized windows on both sides of the walls, the roof also uses a translucent tile system(sky-lighting roof panel FRP 1.5mm), which provides sufficient light and good working conditions for workers working in the workshop.

It is worth mentioning that for such a two-bay steel structure, proper roof drainage design is necessary. For buildings like this, we usually install gutters at the intersections of the roof. There are three types of gutters available: 1>color steel plate bending. 2>galvanized steel plate bending (1.0~2.0mm thick), 3>304 stainless steel plate bending. Generally, we would recommend clients use galvanized steel plate bending because this is cost-effective and is A compromise between the price of color steel plate bending and stainless steel bending.
