The photovoltaic solar parking lot (carport/garage) we are talking about here refers to the carport (garage) project with a total area of about 20,000 square meters, a height of 2.93~4.83m, and a width of 2 parking spaces. The surface treatment of the steel structure of this solar panel carport is hot-dip galvanizing. Since the garage has no walls, only a roof, this means that almost the entire steel structure is exposed to the air. Hot dip galvanizing is an ideal method to extend the service life of carport sheds.

In addition to the surface treatment of the steel structure using hot-dip galvanizing, the Z-shaped steel roof purlins used in this project are a little different from what we usually do. You can find that there are many holes in the flange of the Z-shaped steel, and these holes are for bolts to fix solar panels.
In what situation is hot-dip galvanized required?
