Product Information
Prefabricated steel structure workshop buildings, or pre-engineered steel factory buildings and steel plants, are simple steel frame structures with H-shaped column and roof truss constructions. We can customize the width, height, floor, roof, and insulation materials according to your needs. Just tell us your budget, and we will recommend suitable materials based on your budget. Steel buildings are very popular nowadays because they are versatile, efficient, and of high-quality steel construction.
The steel product we mentioned here is a metal steel workshop in size: 103.8x45x14.45m, a total of about 5000 square meters. To have better lighting conditions, we made the design with roof ventilators and roof skylight panels, making the whole workshop bright and ventilated. We would like to share the project pictures and drawings as below:

The material design of the steel structure workshop:
I . Fastening:
Anchor bolts are usually "L" shaped and made of steel rods ranging from φ24 to φ64mm. The high-strength bolt(M20)is used to connect the beam and Column. The common bolt (M20) is used to connect the tie rod. While the galvanized bolt(M12) is used to connect the wall & roof purlin.
II.Main steel framing:
Steel columns and beams, which are the main load-bearing structure of the workshop, are usually made of hot roll H-section steel(equal section) or H-shape steel(unequal cross section) fabricated by 3 steel plates. After assembly and welding, the welded steel columns and beams need to be corrected to prevent deformation of the H-beams caused by welding.
III.Substructure components:
purlins and wall beams are usually made of C or Z steel. The purlin size is determined based on force calculations. Purlin distance should not exceed 1.5 meters, usually, we make it (0.9~1.1 meters). The bracing system consists of roof bracing and column bracing, which are usually made of round steel(M16~M22), and angle steel is for the knee brace(L50*3.5mm), sag rod(M12) is made of round steel connected between purlins to regulate and control the stability of adjacent purlins.
IV.Roof and wall panels:
They are divided into two types: corrugated steel sheets (840mm ~900mm type)and steel sandwich panels. single steel sheet panels are commonly used in buildings that do not require insulation and rely on purlins or wall beams to form roof and wall enclosures. Sandwich panels are mainly used in buildings that require thermal insulation. (insulation layer: polystyrene, polyurethane foam, rock wool, glass wool).
V. Window and door:
Window type: the fixed window on the wall above, the sliding window in a lower position so that we can operate them easily. Door type: roll-up door, sliding door, small door for people to get entrance.
