Roof drainage systems usually have two types: hidden gutter/visible gutter.
The visible gutter(Outer gutter) is on the outside of the roof, usually at the edge of the eaves or near the roof edge. The main function of the outer gutter is to collect and guide rainwater from the roof to the ground. It is easy to maintain and clean.
The hidden gutter(Inner gutter) is inside the roof, usually below or inside the roof structure. The inner gutter is also to collect and guide rainwater and is usually connected to the internal drainage system to drain the rainwater into the drainage pipes inside the building. It can make the roof appearance nicer but you must consider waterproofing and drainage reliability.
We usually use a visible gutter in the industrial warehouse /workshop, but for commercial buildings like glass warehouses, we suggest using a hidden gutter.
