A prefabricated steel warehouse is a type of warehouse that is built off-site from modular components and then transported to its final location and assembled.
These warehouses are designed to be erected quickly and are usually made of steel, prefabricated wall and roof panel materials. Prefabricated warehouses offer several advantages, such as faster construction time, cost-effectiveness, flexible design, and ease of relocation when necessary. They are often used for storage, logistics, and distribution purposes across a variety of industries.
Warehouse roof shape
According to the shape of the roof, we generally have two most common shapes, slope roof and flat roof:
Slope Roof(Gable Roof )Warehouse: This is a common type with a peaked roof that slopes on two sides. It provides good drainage and is suitable for areas with moderate rainfall.
Flat Roof Warehouse: Commonly used in locations with low rainfall or where additional rooftop equipment or storage is planned.
The steel warehouse project we introduce here is a warehouse use for finished products storge. The warehouse mainly stores goods, so the roof uses EPS sandwich panels and the walls are covered with single-color tiles. There isn’t much need for lighting or ventilation, so there aren’t many doors or windows. The client is mainly concerned about the warehouse being well-sealed and waterproof.
Why steel structure warehouses often have a brick wall at the bottom?
Fire Safety: Bricks offer superior fire resistance compared to steel, which helps contain fires and enhances safety.
Damage Protection: They provide a sturdy barrier against impacts from equipment or vehicles, reducing the risk of structural damage.
Aesthetic Enhancement: Bricks improve the appearance of the warehouse, especially at ground level, contributing to a more appealing overall design.
Durability: Bricks are durable and weather-resistant, ensuring long-term structural integrity and minimal maintenance needs.

Anchor bolt for the foundation.(If the client prefers not to use anchor bolts, they can consider using expansion bolts instead. However, expansion bolts are typically suitable for smaller warehouses, eg. 20x6x6m)
Columns/Beams Erection.(When installing columns in steel structures, use a crane ranging from 5 to 15 tons, depending on the column size. Other important considerations are positioning, clearance, alignment, and team coordination.)
Purlin Installation.(Roof purlin/wall purlin:Z /C steel shape)
Crane beam erection.(It is option choose with or without the crane)
Roof/Wall panel installation.(Courrugated steel sheet/ steel sandwich panel with insulation)
High strength and durability: Can withstand heavy loads and have a long service life.
Fast construction: Can be built quickly, reducing construction time and costs.
Flexible design: Can be easily customized to meet different needs.
Good seismic performance: Can provide better safety in earthquake-prone areas.
Easy maintenance: Simple to maintain and repair.
Environmentally friendly: Recyclable and sustainable.
